ABOUTThe Behavior Shapes Approach
This isn't a one-size-fits-all program. Every plan is built around your child's actual behavior, your family's values, and the daily situations that matter most.
FOUNDATION
Behavior science
Behavior science explores why people do what they do — and what it takes to change it. Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is its most research-supported branch and the clinical foundation of this work. Every assessment and plan is grounded in that evidence — built around your child, your family, and the specific behaviors that matter most in your daily life
MINDSETPsychological flexibility
The practice is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — specifically, how it builds psychological flexibility in children and parents. When kids can notice difficult feelings without being controlled by them, and parents can respond without being pulled in, daily life gets measurably calmer.
Studio-based skills building
IN PRACTICE
The ceramics studio in North Palm Beach is where a lot of this work happens in practice. Hands-on creative work builds real skills — planning, problem-solving, tolerating frustration, communicating. It's not art therapy. It's a structured environment where executive functioning and social skills get practiced in a context that doesn't feel like a lesson.
Behavior science tells us what to change and why. ACT builds the mindset to make that change last. The studio is where your child gets to practice both — in a way that actually sticks.
